Iran’s Arabi takes World Wushu Championships silver
Farshad Arabi from Iran snatched a silver medal in the men’s nandao (broadsword) event at the World Wushu Championships on Monday.

The Iranian exponent, the bronze medallist in Kuala Lumpur two years ago, took silver with 9.65 points. 

Malaysian Ho Mun Hua won the gold medal scoring 9.67 points and retained the lead after all 41 exponents had performed.

Bronze medal went to Taiwan’s Lai Wei-po with 9.64 in the 13th edition of the world meet.

More than 900 Wushu athletes from 73 countries are participating at Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

Team Iran has participated in the competition with 11 exponents.
