Iran to host Fajr International Badminton Challenge
The 25th edition of the Fajr International Badminton Challenge will kick off from February 12 in Tehran, Iran.
A total of 23 countries namely, Iran (host), Austria, Slovenia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Armenia, Finland, Russia, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Italy, Island, Nigeria, Turkey, the Philippines, Iraq, Czech Republic, Pakistan and Mauritius will take part in the tournament.

“I am satisfied to be here in Tehran for the Fajr International Badminton Challenge. I think Iran has a bright future in the sport since the officials take into consideration the age categories in the country,” Chooi Weng Sheng, tournament events manager of the Badminton Asia Confederation, said.

A total of $15,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winners.

The four-day competitions will be held at the Iran Badminton Federation.
