Iran’s Saveh Shemshaki takes silver in Asian Alpine Ski Championship
TEHRAN – Hossein Saveh Shemshaki from Iran won a silver medal in the 24th Asian Alpine Ski Championship on Tuesday.
Saveh Shemshaki finished in second place, clocking 1:55.43 in the men’s giant slalom.

“I could have won the gold medal. I think I was not lucky. I am happy to win a silver medal as an Iranian skier. I will do my best to win a gold medal in slalom,” Hossein Saveh Shemshaki told Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA).

South Korean Chang-hyun Choi claimed the gold medal with a time of 1:53.73.

Dong-geun Lee, also from South Korea, seized the bronze medal with 1:55.51.

Furthermore, Porya Saveh Shemshaki finished in sixth place, recording a time of 1:56.31.

The 24th Asian Alpine Ski Championship got underway in Yongpyong, South Korea on Tuesday.
