Iran’s Mahjoub grabs bronze medal at IJF Judo Grand Prix
Javad Mahjoub from Iran seized a bronze medal in the International Judo Federation (IJF) Grand Prix at the Buyant Ukhaa Sport Complex in Ulaanbaatar on Sunday.

In the -100kg, Mahjoub defeated beat Bayarsaikhan Ambaselmaa from Mongolia with a koshi-jime in 31 seconds.

The second bronze medal went to Tunisia African Open winner Benjamin Fletcher who bested world number 140 Bunddorj Janchivdorj from Mongolia to win his first medal on the World Judo Tour.

Japanese Aaron Wolf defeated Martin Pacek from Sweden in the final match to win the gold medal.

On Saturday, Iran’s Saeid Mollaei claimed a bronze medal in the -81kg.

The tournament brought 200 judoka from 35 countries together in Mongolia.
