Iran’s Keikha takes bronze at Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup
Saeed Reza Keikha clinched a bronze medal at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan on Sunday.

The Iranian gymnast finished in third place , having scored 14.450 points.

“That has been a long way to victory, I did a lot of training and showed all that I’m capable of at the competition, and won a medal,” Keikha told Trend news agency.

“There are very good training and competition halls here,” said the gymnast. “The event has been organized at a high level, fans support all the gymnasts very actively, it’s a pleasure to perform here.”

Tomomasa Hasegawa from Japan snatched the gold with 15.400 points following his performance on the pommel horse.

Belgian gymnast Maxime Gentges ranked second, scoring 14.700 points. 

The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku on February 19 and finished on February 21.

As many as 45 male and 22 female gymnasts from 19 countries competed at the event.
