Jamei ends Iran's 90-year wait for medal in Asian Gymnastics Championships
Abdollah Jamei ended Iran’s 90-year wait to win a medal in Asian competition on Sunday.

Jamei claimed the bronze medal with 14.675 points in the pommel horse. 

Kazuma Kaya from Japan was on top of the podium after scoring 15.600 points. Silver medal went to Chinese Ruoteng Xiao with 15.575 points. 

Iran’s Saeed Reza Keikha finished in fourth place with 14.575 points in the event.

Also, Iran’s Hadi Khanarinejad came fourth in the ring event with 14.925 points.

The gold medal won by the Japanese Koji Yamamuro with 15.525 points, followed by the China Taipei’s Chih-Yu  Chen with 15.450 points. Azizbek Kudratullayev from Kazakhstan claimed the bronze medal with 15.200 points. 

The 6th Senior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships opened on July 31 in the Hiroshima Prefectural Sports Center in Japan and finished on August 2.
